How Direct messages works

Postgrain Direct Messages screen was updated! Today we release this feature even more complete and easy to use. Check out the changes:

• Expanded and more organized layout

Postgrain's new DM has now a more developed Conversation Center, with Inbox, Solved, and Unread options.

• Faster and more organized home screen

Access all received messages on a single screen and start individual or group conversations quickly by sending a message for two or more people. You can name the group directly on Postgrain! 

• Easily organize and find conversations with tags

You can add keywords to any conversation to organize it by theme. Search by tags or usernames to find conversations and don't miss any subject.

• Create Quick replies

Now, it is possible to create Quick replies on Postgrain. Remember: this feature doesn't work as automation. In order to be sent, the user must select the message manually. 

To create a quick reply, click the message symbol at the right bottom. In the first field, you must enter a shortcut to select the message. In the second field, write the full message. To access it, simply write shortcuts with a forward slash. GIF example below: /stories

• Send photos and like messages

It is now possible to send and receive images through Postgrain DMs, and you can send messages or just send a heart, just as it works on Instagram.

• Delete conversations and messages

You can also delete messages by clicking on the "trash" symbol and then clicking Delete. By deleting a conversation, Postgrain will not be able to find it in the search bar. However, when a user talks to you again, the conversation will reappear in your Inbox.

• Allow or decline message requests

As Instagram, Postgrain allows you to accept or decline messages from people you don't follow. And it is a very simple process:

Reply stories

You can now send a text reply to a story through Postgrain! Whenever you are tagged or sent a story by sharing, a text box will appear in the story view. Just type the text you want and click Send:

Quick reactions

Now, whenever a user is tagged or gets a story shared by DMs, they can quickly react to the story with emojis, just like on Instagram. All you have to do is click on the emoji symbol, in the bottom right corner, select the emoji you want and wait for the reaction to be sent. 

Share stories

Postgrain users can now share stories with other profiles without opening Instagram's app! Just click on the paper plane symbol, in the bottom right corner, and choose which profile you want to send the story to. If necessary, you can also write a message within the share. 

This is a 1.0 version of the new Direct Messages screen. Improvements will come as a result of usage and user feedback.
